Elusive Destiny

At 18, Lucinda Hoffman’s mother sent her to live with her aunt, a madam of a brothel in Holten, Texas. Her aunt is the biggest madam and provides many men the freedom to use any woman they want. Lucinda never expected that living in a brothel house would bring Reed Donovan into her life, making her fall in love for the first time. Being with Reed makes her feel loved for the first time; however, there are people that want Reed and Lucinda separated, making sure they are separated for good. Can they be together when there is evil and treachery around them?  Reed Donovan might be a hotel owner and a businessman but there has always been something missing in his life. His father always said he would meet his destiny away from his home. With these words ringing in his ears, he knows Lucinda is his destiny and he must fight to make her his forever.  Roxanne Springer is a first time author and has surely done a great job in creating a historical romance that has left a mark in this reviewer. Elusive Destiny is one story that has it all; evil, treachery, murder, and a romance that will make you weep at the pain Lucinda goes through but also disgusted at the things that these two people do to separate Lucinda and Reed. Roxanne Springer not only has a great imagination she also knows how to create a romance with a great love that can never be torn apart. I highly recommend this historical romance; it is one any reader will love. Roxanne Springer did a remarkable job bringing this story to life and it is to be treasured.
